The Rocket City Chorus is the chorus of the Huntsville Metropolitan Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, dba Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. (SPEBSQSA). The chapter was formed in 1957 and currently has approximately 35 members. The chorus sings at numerous functions such as Pan-O-Ply, Concerts in the Park, Nursing Homes, Retirement Homes, civic events, company and private parties, etc. The chapter also includes a varying number of quartets within its ranks. Several occupations are represented in the chapter including engineers, doctors, businessmen, retired Military, and retired Government workers.
